Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
The on-site Human Resources Coordinator will manage daily HR administration at Viscot Medical, coordinating payroll, benefits, onboarding, records, and routine employee relations while collaborating with leadership and a PEO to uphold compliance and operational consistency.

Viscot Medical, LLC is a family-owned medical device manufacturer based in Morris County, New Jersey. For more than four decades, the company has designed and produced disposable surgical products used by healthcare professionals across the United States and globally. This role centers on hands-on HR administration on site, supporting payroll, benefits coordination, onboarding, personnel records, recruiting support, and routine employee relations, reporting to the Director of Support & Services and working with the Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
Responsibilities
- Provide timely, professional, and confidential responses to employee inquiries about payroll, benefits, policies, and other HR matters.
- Act as a reliable resource for managers and staff on routine employee relations, policy interpretation, and HR processes.
- Collaborate with the Director of Support & Services and the PEO to ensure consistent handling of employee matters in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Offer practical guidance on attendance, performance documentation, policy application, and common workplace issues.
- Escalate complex employee relations, performance, leave, accommodation, or compliance issues as needed.
- Process weekly payroll and maintain accurate records, ensuring timely submission.
- Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee communications.
- Coordinate all aspects of onboarding, including new hire paperwork, orientation, training coordination, and file setup.
- Maintain personnel files and HR records in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Coordinate employee separations, including exit documentation, benefits notifications, and record maintenance.
- Assist with recruiting activities such as posting roles, scheduling interviews, candidate communications, and supporting the hiring process.
- Prepare and update job descriptions as needed.
- Support administration of employee performance reviews and maintain related documentation.
- Assist with implementation, documentation, and continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
- Maintain the employee handbook and ensure HR policies, forms, and procedures remain current.
- Ensure required labor law postings and HR compliance documentation are current.
- Work closely with the PEO and external partners to support HR operations and compliance requirements.
- Monitor HR processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the employee experience.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining progress on longer-term projects and compliance initiatives.
- Perform other administrative and HR-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Five or more years of HR experience supporting hourly employees and manufacturing workforces.
- Experience processing payroll is required.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to provide practical guidance on routine employee relations and compliance matters.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while focusing on important long-term projects and deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation and Location
Location: Denville, New Jersey, onsite. Compensation: USD 35 - 40 per hour. Job type: Part-time.
