Job Description

Supports onboarding, HRIS administration, and company-wide HR initiatives across the full employee lifecycle at xAI in Palo Alto, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR team with employee relations investigations and resolution.
  • Maintain the HRIS across all life-cycle processes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, programs, and processes to employees and managers.
  • Serve as the onboarding point of contact for new hires and assist their integration into xAI.
  • Keep employee electronic files accurate and up-to-date; assist with HR reporting and audits.
  • Assist in creating, documenting, and implementing HR policies, programs, and processes.
  • Handle initial unemployment claims and employment verifications.
  • Deliver core HR services and operational support to the workforce.
  • Help identify department needs, propose changes, and support implementation of improvements.
  • Coordinate site-wide events such as benefits fairs, volunteer activities, and team celebrations.
  • Support the recruitment team with staffing-related activities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality for all matters and documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 6+ months of administrative experience (internships qualify).

About the Role

  • As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will support a diverse employee population with onboarding, HRIS administration, and partnering with the HR team to implement local and company-wide programs.
  • This is an on-site role in Palo Alto, CA; relocation may be required if not local. Extended hours and weekend work may be necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $76,000 - $132,000 USD per year.

ITAR Requirements

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident (green card holder), a refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, an asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
