Human Resources Coordinator

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide facility-level HR support for all employees onsite in West Bloomfield Township, MI. This role blends day-to-day coordination with hands-on employee services, including hiring workflow, new-hire processing, retention support, and employee issue resolution.

What you can expect

In this position, you will help keep HR processes moving efficiently by monitoring applicant flow in the applicant tracking system, supporting Department Managers and the Administrator with retention planning, and ensuring new hires complete required employment steps. You will also manage essential documentation, coordinate scheduling for orientation and required screenings, and support benefit enrollment follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily applicant flow in the applicant tracking system and/or partner with the recruiter assigned to the position(s).
• Update applicants daily in the applicant tracking system.
• Assist Department Managers and the Administrator with employee retention planning.
• Complete employment processing for new hires, including I-9, tax forms, license and certification verification, references, background checks, fingerprinting scheduling, and coordination for physical and drug screen scheduling.
• Schedule and assist with new hire orientation.
• Ensure the Employee Problem Resolution Process is followed and report results.
• Complete injury reports.
• Complete benefit enrollment and conduct follow-ups.
• Maintain up-to-date files for employment documents.

Requirements

• Minimum Associates Degree with 5+ years of experience in an HR Coordinator or Manager capacity, or
• Minimum Bachelor in HR or BSA with a concentration in Human Resources, and
• Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in the long term care setting.
