Job Description
Lead and oversee human resources strategy and day-to-day HR operations for Goodwill Industries of Arkansas in Little Rock, AR.
Responsibilities
- Build organization HR strategy aligned to Goodwill’s mission, values, and culture by researching HR issues and translating findings into objectives
- Drive HR strategy execution through department accountabilities across talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, records management, succession planning, employee relations, retention, and local, state, and federal compliance
- Manage HR operations including recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and developing HR staff
- Plan and evaluate HR staff contributions through recruiting goals, monitoring, appraisal, and performance review
- Maintain compensation structure and HR compensation database; design HR systems and implement change initiatives
- Develop and manage HR operational financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and tracking requirements, trends, and variances; align resources and initiate corrective actions
- Deliver special projects by clarifying issues and priorities, coordinating requirements, evaluating milestones, and adjusting assumptions and direction as needed
- Advise management with HR guidance, counsel, and decision support based on analysis and application of HR information
- Guide management and employee actions by creating, researching, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicate and enforce organizational values
- Ensure legal compliance by studying and anticipating federal, state, and local legislation and advising management on required actions
- Keep current through conferences, educational opportunities, professional publications, networks, and professional organizations
- Support department and organization reputation by taking ownership of new requests and identifying opportunities to add value
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere through respectful communication and collaboration with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
- Own the Workforce Development component of CARF certification for the organization
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
