Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
G3 Industries, Inc. is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to oversee all facets of HR management, support a positive workplace culture, manage employee relations, ensure compliance with employment laws, and contribute to organizational growth in Two Rivers, WI.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including onboarding, new hire orientation, and the termination process.
- Screen credentials and references, and schedule follow-up interviews with managers and supervisors as needed.
- Administer pre-employment assessments, perform reference checks, and coordinate new employee orientations.
- Maintain accurate employee records, reports, and logs.
- Provide information on company facilities and job opportunities to prospective applicants.
- Administer employee benefit programs such as group life insurance, health coverage, 401(k), and other benefits.
- Verify monthly premium statements for group insurance policies and maintain data on premiums, claims, and costs; resolve issues with carrier representatives.
- Perform payroll and benefits reconciliations to the General Ledger and related accounts.
- Prepare and maintain employee files to ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality, including unemployment claims, workers’ compensation, verifications, I-9 status, and state regulations.
- Process payroll, verify totals, remit payroll taxes, and address payroll-related inquiries.
- Handle wage garnishments ordered by courts or tax authorities and ensure compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures across all HR activities.
- Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- May substitute for the Human Resources Manager in their absence.
Requirements
- Education generally equivalent to an associate’s degree in Human Resource Administration/Management or equivalent experience.
- Effective communication in English and Spanish to ensure understanding of safety procedures, training materials, and workplace policies.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle employee issues in a compliant and sensitive manner.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work independently.
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in work.
