Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Precision Escalator Products, Inc is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to lead talent acquisition, employee relations, HR operations, and support organizational planning, with on-site duties at the Kenilworth, New Jersey location.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee performance evaluation cycles
- Lead performance management initiatives
- Administer training and safety programs to support ongoing development and regulatory compliance
- Administer benefits programs using ADP and ensure precise data entry and clear benefits communication
- Ensure adherence to employment and labor laws
- Maintain OSHA standards compliance
- Ensure workers' compensation procedures compliance
- Maintain affirmative action planning compliance
- Handle employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism
- Facilitate conflict resolution sessions
- Support organizational change management initiatives
- Assist Payroll with time and attendance
- Assist Payroll with timecard issues
- Perform general office tasks, including ordering office supplies
- Assist with event planning
- Provide DOT support as needed
- Support fire safety efforts
- Coordinate environmental cleanup services as required
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required
- Proven experience in human resources management with a solid understanding of human capital management principles
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms, including Workday
- Knowledge of employment and labor law, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation procedures, and affirmative action planning
- Office management skills
- Strong organizational abilities for data collection, data entry, contract management, and maintaining accurate HR records
- Ability to handle confidential employee information while fostering a positive work environment through effective employee relations practices
