Job Description
Ansett Aircraft Spares & Services is seeking a proactive Human Resources Generalist to own end-to-end people operations for a 50-person team in the Los Angeles area. This standalone role blends payroll, HR administration, and employee relations within an international company, with a hybrid work arrangement after a training period.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration: Manage end-to-end bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing for 50 employees.
- Full-Cycle HR: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Benefits & Compliance: Administer health benefits, leaves of absence, and ensure California labor law compliance.
- Culture & Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to staff and help drive team engagement.
Requirements
- Experience: 2–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a small business or standalone capacity.
- Payroll Mastery: Hands-on payroll experience on a cloud platform, with Paylocity familiarity considered a plus.
- California Law Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of California wage-and-hour laws and HR compliance.
- Technical Skills: Solid information technology skills.
- Location: Based in the Los Angeles area with a reliable commute to the local office.
