Human Resources Generalist

Pacific Provisions Hawaii is seeking a capable Human Resources Generalist to manage the full spectrum of HR operations from hiring to payroll and compliance, right in our Kapolei office. This onsite role supports managers, drives employee engagement, and guides benefits and policy administration, with a clear pathway to an HR Manager position as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new hires.
• Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and support workforce planning.
• Create a positive and engaging onboarding experience for new employees.
• Administer employee benefits programs and support the annual open enrollment process.
• Process accurate bi-weekly payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Serve as a resource for questions related to benefits, payroll, and HR policies.
• Coordinate employee recognition, wellness, and engagement initiatives.
• Support leadership in fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture.
• Conduct stay and exit interviews and implement improvements based on feedback.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with workers' compensation, unemployment claims, investigations, and employee relations matters.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and the employee experience.
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives that contribute to organizational growth.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of progressive HR experience.
• At least one year of payroll experience.
• At least one year of benefits administration experience.
