Job Description

Diamond Vogel is seeking an on-site Human Resources Generalist to partner with leaders across multiple sites in Orange City, Iowa. This hands-on role supports the full employee lifecycle, coaches managers on people management, and drives HR process improvements to strengthen our people operations.

Compensation

Salary: USD 60,000 - 70,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to boost employee engagement and reduce turnover by implementing HR programs, processes, and policies
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, selection, onboarding, performance management, development, transfers, and offboarding
  • Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned locations, handling day-to-day HR execution and coaching managers on HR processes, policies, and leadership practices
  • Investigate employee performance and conduct issues, providing guidance and creating development plans, performance improvement plans, and warnings as needed
  • Support organizational changes in partnership with leadership and the HRBP Manager
  • Input and maintain accurate employee records in HR systems
  • Collect, share, and analyze HR metrics to inform business decisions and improve HR processes
  • Update onboarding and headcount visual management boards
  • Review 1:1 meeting documentation and follow up with supervisors on employee concerns, performance trends, and opportunities for engagement or recognition
  • Ensure consistent application of HR programs and policies within assigned sites and functions
  • Explain employee benefits, answer questions, and assist with the open enrollment process
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws within assigned sites and functions
  • Travel between facilities as required to provide on-site HR support, including maintaining consistent office hours

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role
  • Solid understanding of the employee lifecycle and HR best practices
  • Ability to coach, influence, and build trust with leaders at multiple levels
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations
  • Knowledge of HR policies and employment law
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and trends
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field is required
