Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
BTX Global Logistics is seeking an on-site Human Resources Generalist in Shelton, CT to support employee relations, benefits administration, and HRIS (Paycor) management, with some travel to corporate stations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for staff questions about policies, procedures, and HR processes.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist with employee relations by collecting information, documenting concerns, and escalating when needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Support policy updates, compliance initiatives, and HR projects as required.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance the overall employee experience.
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, and open enrollment as needed.
- Oversee day-to-day benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee education.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and benefits brokers to resolve questions and issues.
- Support the annual open enrollment cycle, including communication, system setup, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain year-end benefits reporting and ensure ACA filing accuracy.
- Act as Paycor administrator for the Talent Acquisition and Performance Review modules.
- Build relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and timelines.
- Oversee the performance review process, configuring, launching, and managing reviews in Paycor.
- Troubleshoot Paycor issues and coordinate with Paycor support as needed.
- Support managers and employees on Paycor functionality and best practices.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and dashboards as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in talent acquisition.
- Working knowledge of Paycor preferred (or a similar HRIS), with the ability to build modules and optimize workflows.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and recruiting best practices.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior active listening skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
