Job Description

BTX Global Logistics is seeking an on-site Human Resources Generalist in Shelton, CT to support employee relations, benefits administration, and HRIS (Paycor) management, with some travel to corporate stations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for staff questions about policies, procedures, and HR processes.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Assist with employee relations by collecting information, documenting concerns, and escalating when needed.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Support policy updates, compliance initiatives, and HR projects as required.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and open enrollment as needed.
  • Oversee day-to-day benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee education.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and benefits brokers to resolve questions and issues.
  • Support the annual open enrollment cycle, including communication, system setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain year-end benefits reporting and ensure ACA filing accuracy.
  • Act as Paycor administrator for the Talent Acquisition and Performance Review modules.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and timelines.
  • Oversee the performance review process, configuring, launching, and managing reviews in Paycor.
  • Troubleshoot Paycor issues and coordinate with Paycor support as needed.
  • Support managers and employees on Paycor functionality and best practices.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and dashboards as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in talent acquisition.
  • Working knowledge of Paycor preferred (or a similar HRIS), with the ability to build modules and optimize workflows.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and recruiting best practices.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior active listening skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities.
