Job Description

Retina Associates, LLC is seeking a Human Resources Generalist in Lenexa, KS to support a broad range of HR needs onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing accurate guidance to employees and leaders through in-person, email, and phone channels.
  • Partner with leaders to manage employee relations matters, including performance management, staffing, coaching, attendance, and disciplinary documentation.
  • Coach and mentor supervisors and managers on performance management, employee development, communication, conflict resolution, and HR best practices.
  • Support the exit interview process as needed and share exit review data with leaders.
  • Monitor and support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including reviewing and updating policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Review current best practices and propose recommendations for process improvements.
  • Review and enter HRIS changes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration activities.
  • Help implement and communicate policies, procedures, and systems while supporting compliance, employee adoption, and day-to-day effectiveness.
  • Conduct compensation reviews and benchmarking to support market competitiveness and alignment with organizational goals, including recommendations for salary adjustments and compensation strategies.
  • Oversee employee engagement and recognition initiatives to strengthen workplace culture.
  • Share company updates practice-wide as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with leaders on staffing, recruiting, and retention goals and strategy.
  • Assist with recruitment tasks, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Support new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Partner with leaders to review and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience, including employee relations, compensation decisions, recruiting, and performance management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop others.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Some travel between locations; reimbursement provided.
