Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Human Resources Generalist will support a manufacturing site and its leadership team, with a focus on hiring, engagement, and compliant day-to-day people practices.
Responsibilities
- Support daily site leadership by aligning HR functional strategies, projects, and initiatives to deliver business solutions
- Coach and develop frontline leaders
- Own employee engagement for the site through regular communications, recognition, and rewards across all levels
- Organize community and local events
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for all hourly requisitions
- Partner with leaders to deliver onboarding, immersion, and training for new hires
- Assist with talent management activities, including annual performance and talent reviews, workforce planning, development plans, and learning and development opportunities
- Advise frontline leaders on talent, organizational effectiveness, change management, and culture aligned to Novolex core values and strategic initiatives
- Support employee relations activities such as investigations and exit interviews
- Audit employee files, HR policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to defined standards
- Maintain dashboards and run People-related analytics to identify root causes and recommend countermeasures impacting performance
- Ensure HR activities follow local, state, and federal employment laws; stay current on human resources trends
Requirements
- 2+ years of HR business partner experience
- Bilingual Spanish required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certifications (or local equivalent) preferred
- Experience with HRIS, Payroll, and Applicant Tracking systems
- Experience driving action plans to achieve desired outcomes
- Ability to coach, communicate, and influence frontline leaders and team members
- Ability to travel less than 5% within the United States

Compensation
- Estimated range: $65,000 to $85,000 per year + bonus + benefits
- Pay decisions are based on job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
- Hiring at the top of the range is not typical; compensation depends on the facts and circumstances of each case
