Human Resources Generalist/Executive Support
Job Description
Desert Senita Community Health Center is seeking a Human Resources Generalist / Executive Support to strengthen day-to-day people operations while also providing dependable administrative coordination for the CEO and Board of Directors. In this onsite role in Ajo, AZ, you will help keep hiring, onboarding, compliance, and employee support running smoothly, and you will serve as a key liaison for executive and governance communications.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, application screening, interview scheduling, initial candidate screenings, and coordination of hiring activities.
- Prepare offer letters and employment documentation.
- Maintain applicant tracking records and recruitment metrics.
- Assist department managers with staffing needs and hiring strategies.
- Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding activities, including ensuring pre-employment requirements are completed and supporting new hire paperwork and system setup.
- Coordinate employee training, compliance education, and professional development; maintain training records and certifications.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee questions, and coordinate annual open enrollment activities and communication with benefits vendors.
- Support payroll processing by reviewing employee changes, tracking timekeeping, and ensuring accurate payroll documentation; assist employees with payroll questions and wage-related inquiries.
- Maintain personnel files and HRIS records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support to the CEO, including managing the CEO calendar, meetings, travel arrangements, and scheduling.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and executive communications, and coordinate special projects assigned by the CEO.
- Maintain confidential executive files and sensitive organizational information.
- Act as the primary administrative liaison between the CEO and the Board of Directors, coordinating Board and committee meeting logistics and preparing Board packets, agendas, reports, and meeting materials.
- Distribute Board communications and official notices, record and organize Board meeting minutes, and maintain confidential Board records and corporate governance files.
- Coordinate Board member onboarding and orientation materials.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding workplace concerns and support resolution of employee relations issues through coaching, mediation, and problem-solving, including assistance with investigations involving employee complaints.
- Promote a positive workplace culture focused on communication, respect, and teamwork.
- Assist managers with performance evaluations, corrective actions, coaching, and employee development plans.
What you bring
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual capability in English/Spanish.
- Human resources experience: 3 years (Required).
- An active Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (application question).
- Ability to reliably commute to Ajo, AZ 85321 (application question).
- Arizona City, AZ 85123 (Required).
- Language preference: Spanish (Preferred).

Compensation: USD 60,000 - 72,000 per year.
