Human Resources Generalist - Recruiter

As a Human Resources Generalist - Recruiter, you will run full-cycle recruiting to support Midwest Express Clinic’s clinical hiring needs. The role is based in Chicago, IL and includes close collaboration with clinic and regional leadership to attract talent, manage candidate experience, and coordinate the steps that lead to a smooth onboarding handoff.

Role Overview

This position focuses on hiring clinical talent and building proactive sourcing pipelines. You will partner with leaders to understand staffing needs, prioritize open roles, and guide candidates from initial contact through offer extension and toward their start date, while coordinating pre-boarding requirements and accurate data updates in Paycom.

Key Responsibilities

• Own recruiting for clinic roles including Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, Providers, and other clinic positions.
• Write and post job openings, source candidates, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews.
• Extend offers and guide candidates through to their start date.
• Partner with clinic and regional leaders to understand hiring needs and prioritize open roles.
• Advise leaders on interview practices, candidate quality, and relevant market conditions.
• Coordinate with Workforce Operations on staffing gaps to prioritize the most urgent openings.
• Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for high-turnover and hard-to-fill roles.
• Deliver a responsive, professional, and welcoming candidate experience from first contact to first day.
• Develop sourcing channels including job boards, schools and training programs, referrals, and community outreach.
• Coordinate pre-boarding steps, including offer letters, background checks, and E-Verify.
• Ensure a smooth handoff into onboarding and maintain accurate candidate and new hire data in Paycom.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of recruiting experience, ideally high-volume or healthcare hiring.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems, with Paycom being a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with candidates and leaders.
• Ability to manage multiple open roles and competing priorities at the same time.
• A mindset aligned with the company’s PACT values.

Location and Compensation

• Location: Chicago, IL (onsite)
• Salary: USD 65,000 to 80,000 per year
• Minimum experience: 2 years
