Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR inquiries including benefits, payroll, PTO, policies, and employee relations.
- Maintain organized and compliant employee personnel files and HR documentation.
- Support leadership with HR guidance, employee concerns, and policy interpretation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with all employee information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Oversee OSHA and workplace safety programs.
- Maintain compliance with labor regulations and employment policies.
- Manage required licensing, certifications, and regulatory documentation.
- Manage onboarding and new-hire documentation.
- Oversee employee terminations and offboarding processes.
- Handle unemployment claims and employment verifications.
- Maintain accurate HR records and employment documentation.
- Assist with payroll administration and employee payroll questions.
- Manage benefits administration and employee enrollment support.
- Coordinate with accounting and leadership regarding payroll-related matters.
- Manage all workers’ compensation claims and reporting.
- Coordinate documentation and communication with insurance providers.
- Oversee company vehicle records, driver documentation, and fleet compliance.
- Track license renewals and company credential requirements.
- Maintain company contracts and HR-related documentation.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of Human Resources experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, unemployment, and workers’ compensation
- Hands-on experience with payroll administration
- Highly organized with strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Experience handling employee relations and HR inquiries
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Must be able to work in office Monday through Friday (Millersville, MD 21108)
