Job Description

HR Manager needed at Harris Hands Community Services, Inc., a nonprofit organization in the Bronx, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily HR operations to ensure smooth functioning across departments.
  • Lead full cycle recruitment and onboarding for all teams.
  • Coordinate new hire orientations; maintain personnel files; ensure HR compliance; organize staff trainings, benefits administration, and corporate compliance.
  • Handle personnel matters including grievances, unemployment hearings, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor and apply relevant laws from NYC Justice Center and Department of Labor.
  • Ensure staff compliance with OPWDD employment requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • This position requires full onsite work in Bronx, NY (no remote option)

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts

  • $60,000 - $65,000 per year
