Human Resources Manager
Job Description
Advantage Webco Hawaii is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to oversee day-to-day HR operations and act as a dependable resource for employees and managers. The position supports HR processes, systems, compliance, and employee experience across warehouse, sales, field, and corporate operations, with an in-person schedule split between Mapunapuna and Kapolei.
Location and Schedule
Honolulu, HI (onsite). In-person schedule split between Mapunapuna and Kapolei.
Compensation
USD 91,000 - 145,000 per yearly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function
- Supervise, coach, and develop HR support staff
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for warehouse, driver, field, sales, corporate, and leadership roles
- Partner with managers on workforce planning, recruiting strategies, and hiring needs
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and new-hire integration
- Serve as a primary HR resource for employee concerns and workplace issues
- Coach managers on performance management, documentation, corrective action, policy interpretation, leaves, and accommodations
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions
- Coordinate disciplinary actions and terminations
- Lead performance review and employee development processes
- Support compensation, salary reviews, pay adjustments, and job classifications
- Coordinate benefits administration, eligibility, enrollment, and open enrollment
- Administer leaves of absence, disability, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work processes
- Act as the primary administrator for ADP Workforce Now and related HR systems
- Develop HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records
- Monitor federal, state, local, and Hawaii-specific employment law compliance
- Partner with Operations on workplace safety, training, incident investigations, and corrective actions
- Develop and coordinate HR, compliance, safety, manager, leadership, and new-hire training
- Continuously improve HR systems, processes, efficiency, and employee experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience supporting multiple HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits, compliance, and HR administration
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience administering and improving an HRIS; ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred
- Strong employee relations, coaching, investigation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to independently prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or team-lead experience
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or another operational environment
- Experience with workplace safety, workers’ compensation, and payroll processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent education and relevant progressive experience may be considered
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
