Human Resources Technician 1 - Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator role in the Human Resources department at Minnesota State is based onsite in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This position provides administrative and operational support across recruitment and onboarding, coordinates HR processes, and serves as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, with an hourly pay range of USD 22 to 32.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivers administrative and operational support to the Talent Management Team, including the Director of Talent Management and the Talent Acquisition Specialist.
- Supports the efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness of talent acquisition and broader HR operations.
- Assists with all phases of the recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Manages critical administrative workflows and maintains relevant documentation and tracking systems.
- Acts as a central coordinator for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides high level administrative assistance to the wider Human Resources Department.
- Helps streamline processes, supports department-wide initiatives, and contributes to a positive and professional candidate and campus partner experience.
- Contributes to organized, timely, and compliant HR operations and enhances Talent Acquisition effectiveness for Metro State University.

Requirements
- Three years of administrative, clerical, or customer service experience that includes data entry, recordkeeping, or use of office systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document processing.
- Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Office, email, and calendars.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks.
- Able to deliver courteous, professional service to employees, applicants, and internal partners.
- Ability to follow established procedures and apply basic HR policies and guidelines.
