Job Description
GMH Builders Inc is hiring a full-time on-site Payroll Manager / Human Resource Administrator for the Sonoma, CA office.
Responsibilities
- Run weekly payroll for 40 to 50 employees, including both office and field payroll checks
- Upload payroll payments via ACH to the bank
- Monitor wage and hour law compliance and meet payroll reporting requirements
- Submit and track weekly payroll tax payments
- Administer the 401(k) plan, including weekly contributions, loan payments, and annual census reporting; assist employees as needed
- Process monthly auto allowance payments
- Handle employee reimbursements and garnishments
- Track PTO and maintain a PTO calendar
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files with data integrity and confidentiality
- Maintain the employee handbook and company policies and procedures
- Support new hire onboarding and manage outgoing employee processing
- Investigate employee complaints, policy violations, and workplace issues; recommend appropriate resolutions
Requirements
- 3+ years of Payroll and HR experience
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
- Knowledge of current employment laws and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills, including Excel
- Experience with Spectrum construction accounting software is a plus

Compensation
- Salary: USD 90,000 - 120,000 per year, depending on experience and skill set
- Pay: USD 90,000.00 - 120,000.00 per year
