People Operations Specialist
Job Description
People Operations Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations, employee experience, and benefits administration across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Onboard new hires using HRIS and background screening software
- Verify I-9 documentation and maintain ongoing eligibility documentation
- Maintain employee files and HRIS records by working through defined checklists to ensure accuracy
- Run new employee orientation and educate new hires on benefit offerings and company policies and procedures
- Support HR projects such as HR events, benefits open enrollment, and employee communications
- Research, plan, and execute company-wide employee events aligned with company culture
- Administer benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Process pending benefit notifications and keep the benefits system current
- Answer employee questions related to benefits, resolve benefit issues, and identify new perks and benefits
- Assist recruiting with administrative support, including initiating internal transfer offer letters and submitting request to fill forms for executive-level approval
- Administer leave programs including FMLA, maternity, parental, and personal leave
- Provide administrative support to executive-level staff as needed (for example, meeting scheduling)
- Coordinate building requests with property management
- Advise hiring managers on HR best practices
- Support employees on a range of HR-related topics while preserving confidentiality for sensitive information
- Handle other HR and office tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in human resources, benefits and/or recruiting
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize when priorities change frequently and manage unexpected demands
- Organized, accurate, thorough, with ability to monitor work for quality
- Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information
- Dependable, able to follow instructions and take direction well
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter mindset
- HRIS experience (experience with Rippling strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook

Location: Remote (United States)
Pay Range: USD 37,500 - 51,900 per year
