Plant Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Plant Human Resources Generalist role in a Morrisville, NC onsite manufacturing environment, supporting daily HR operations and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and work assessments
- Support recruiting by sourcing, interviewing, and facilitating selection for open roles
- Partner with departmental managers to clarify the skills and competencies needed for each opening
- Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
- Administer and execute HR programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Attend employee disciplinary meetings and support investigations, including terminations
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to support ongoing compliance
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3+ years of progressive HR, employee relations, talent management, or project management experience
- Experience supporting full-cycle recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, new hire orientation, employee recognition, and talent development programs in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing HR projects and initiatives from planning through implementation, including:
- Developing timelines
- Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders
- Tracking deliverables
- Managing risks
- Communicating project status and outcomes
- Experience administering HR programs and maintaining accurate, confidential records for compensation, benefits, payroll, leave of absence management, performance management, training, employee development, and compliance
- Proven employee relations experience, including investigations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, performance concerns, and terminations, with strong judgment and discretion
- Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with employees, managers, and leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, Microsoft Office, and project management tools; ability to maintain confidentiality, stay current on HR best practices and emerging technologies, and work independently while supporting additional HR initiatives as assigned
