Job Description
This role focuses on attracting, engaging, and hiring talent for field and corporate positions within a high-growth electrical contracting environment, partnering with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and implement effective recruiting strategies.
Responsibilities
- Meet staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating candidates, advising managers, and coordinating relocations and internship programs.
- Define recruiting requirements after reviewing organizational plans and objectives and consulting with managers to determine needs.
- Develop applicant sources by engaging with community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and online platforms; share organization information, opportunities, and benefits; deliver presentations; and maintain rapport.
- Identify applicant requirements by examining job descriptions and qualifications.
- Generate applicant flow by posting jobs, reaching out to recruiters, and using job boards and forums.
- Assess candidates by interviewing, analyzing responses, verifying references, and aligning qualifications with job requirements.
- Coordinate scheduling of management interviews.
- Develop and execute a Recruitment Marketing and Employer Branding strategy to attract high-quality applicants.
- Review applicants with managers against standardized qualifications and discuss job requirements during interviews.
- Enhance employer attractiveness by proposing policies and practices, monitoring offers and compensation, and highlighting benefits and perks.
- Keep recruiting knowledge current through training, industry reading, networking, and professional involvement.
- Provide a weekly report detailing tasks completed and in progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience in recruitment, including management of multiple high-volume positions.
- Experience in Electrical Construction or Building Automation System (BAS) environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with employee evaluation processes and tools is essential.
- Strong relationship management skills to communicate effectively with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct cold calling and engage candidates in meaningful conversations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
