Recruiter

American Equipment offers an onsite recruiting role in Murray, UT (based in the Salt Lake City area) with a full-time Monday through Friday schedule. This position supports multiple branches and business units and gives you the ownership to drive hiring for skilled trades and technical roles in competitive labor markets. The role includes USD 65,000 - 80,000 per year and the opportunity to partner closely with operations leadership to align recruiting outcomes to real workforce needs.

What you’ll do

• Own full cycle recruiting from intake meeting through offer acceptance
• Partner with branch and operations leaders to confirm hiring priorities and workforce needs
• Build and run sourcing strategies for skilled trades and technical roles, including field service technicians and other roles such as mechanics, fabricators, welders, and more
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines for hard to fill positions
• Source candidates using job boards, social platforms, referrals, trade schools, veteran outreach, and industry networking
• Screen and evaluate candidates for technical capability and cultural fit
• Coordinate interviews and support hiring managers through the selection process
• Assist with offer development, including compensation recommendations and negotiation support
• Track recruiting activity and hiring metrics such as time to fill and candidate flow
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
• Support employer branding and community recruiting initiatives

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 4 to 5 years of full cycle recruiting experience
• Strong preference for experience recruiting skilled trades and technical roles in manufacturing, construction, industrial, or field service environments
• Proven ability to source passive candidates in competitive labor markets
• Strong communication and partnership skills with hiring managers
• Working knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices
• Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools

Nice to have

• Multi location or multi state recruiting experience
• Experience with veterans outreach recruiting
• SHRM certification (plus)

Work environment

This is an onsite role based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The schedule is Monday through Friday full time, with occasional travel to branch locations or recruiting events as needed.
