Job Description

Christus Health is seeking a Recruiter I to support talent acquisition for professional, non-nursing roles at its onsite location in Santa Fe, NM. In this position, you will manage the end-to-end recruiting process, help ensure qualified candidates are available, and support hiring practices that align with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain strong working relationships with hiring supervisors (directors, managers, coordinators, or leads) through consistent communication and attention to their specific hiring needs.
  • Support an adequate pipeline of qualified applicants by developing, implementing, improving, maintaining, and adapting recruitment programs that use marketing tactics (for example: mailers, brochures, publications, and advertisements) and recruitment strategies (for example: bonuses, relocation, and scholarship), while adjusting for changing job market conditions and budget limits.
  • Coordinate hiring activities including prescreening candidates using TS practices, pre-assessing candidates with available assessment tools, scheduling interviews through TS processes, and proposing special incentives (such as relocation or sign-on) when needed; partner with external recruiters for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Administer Targeted Selection (TS) by ensuring hiring managers are trained and using TS interviewing techniques, interview guides, and data integration to select new Associates; provide TS Interviewer training and occasionally serve as a TS interviewer.
  • Serve as Administrator of HR Logix by maintaining personnel requisitions, job openings, and applicant information for assigned positions; ensure new requisitions are completed correctly for the weekly staffing council meeting.
  • Share responsibility for preparing and distributing the staffing council spreadsheet with Recruiter.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with the community and schools by representing Christus Health in a positive manner, attending career fairs or similar activities, and offering assistance at community or school events.
  • Provide weekly reporting on recruitment activity, including the number of hires and position openings (and reporting when requested).
  • Assist other Recruitment Team members as needed, including covering responsibilities during their absence.
  • Serve as a backup to the general orientation facilitator.
  • Protect confidentiality of applicants, candidates, and Associates, and avoid soliciting or disclosing confidential information unless required to perform assigned duties.
  • Complete other assigned duties as directed by the department manager or director, either temporarily or permanently.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to manage a full desk and requisition load
  • High degree of organization with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information

Additional experience

  • 1-year experience in high-volume recruiting preferred
  • Previous HR experience preferred
