Job Description
Christus Health is expanding its physician recruiting efforts and seeks a Physician Recruiter I to lead talent acquisition across multiple locations. This onsite role focuses on identifying both active and passive physician candidates and guiding them through the full recruitment process, while collaborating with hospital leadership, human resources, marketing, operations, and compliance to streamline implementation for CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. Based in Santa Fe, NM, the position integrates with cross-functional teams to align recruiting activity with organizational goals and clinical needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment life cycle.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, HR, marketing, operations, compliance, and other stakeholders to streamline implementation and drive process improvements.
- Coordinate sourcing, placement, and onboarding of providers within assigned specialties for employment with CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic.
- Coordinate itineraries and participate in interviews as needed.
- Work with the compensation team to ensure competitive salaries and negotiate letters of intent and employment agreements.
- Attend nationwide specialty-specific conferences to generate physician leads.
- Meet quarterly targets as defined by the approved business plan and document activity by maintaining logs of contacts, calls, issues, and other relevant information.
- Coordinate with ministry Physician Recruiters to update dashboard reports weekly prior to report-out.
- Update posted positions on a monthly basis, or sooner if needed.
- Regularly use job boards such as Practice Match, Practice Link, and CareerMD.
- Assist providers with the credentialing process as needed.
- Prepare and submit expense reports as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to travel and work up to 40 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Previous physician recruiting experience is required.
- Minimum of one year of recruiting experience; healthcare recruiting experience is preferred.
