Job Description

The Seasoned Human Resource Generalist (Multi-State) role at JCI Jones Chemicals, Inc. is an onsite position in Sarasota, FL, focused on supporting employees and managers across multiple states. This position covers the full HR generalist scope, including HRIS administration, onboarding and offboarding, benefits and open enrollment, recruiting support, payroll coordination, employee relations, compliance, and HR reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related questions and support needs.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, employee records, and day-to-day HRIS administration.
  • Support recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and assisting with hiring.
  • Administer benefits programs and lead annual open enrollment activities.
  • Assist with payroll coordination and respond to related employee inquiries.
  • Partner with leadership on employee relations matters and support performance documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws across multiple locations including CA, FL, IN, MI, NH, NC, NY, VA, and WA.
  • Support HR reporting, audits, policy development, and ongoing process improvements.
  • Coordinate employee training and development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting employees in multiple states is preferred.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration, employee relations, and recruiting.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms; Paycom experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification is a plus.
