Job Description
Shield AI is seeking an on-site Senior Recruiter in Melbourne, FL to lead talent acquisition for the Asia-Pacific region. This contract role focuses on guiding international expansion, shaping hiring strategy, and partnering with senior leaders to scale teams across diverse APJ markets while upholding Shield AIβs high recruiting standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for priority APJ roles, including senior, niche, and hard-to-fill positions.
- Design and execute regional sourcing strategies to attract top engineering and go-to-market talent.
- Tailor hiring approaches to local market realities while maintaining Shield AI's global hiring bar.
- Act as an APJ ambassador for the employer brand, ensuring Shield AI is positioned as a leading regional employer.
- Leverage data to forecast hiring needs, monitor pipelines, and optimize recruitment performance at scale.
- Collaborate with the broader international team, including the APJ and EMEA Talent Acquisition groups, the global sourcing team, and the talent coordination group, with support from the Px Function.
Requirements
- Proven experience driving end-to-end hiring for engineers and go-to-market teams in a high-growth tech environment; aerospace, defense, robotics, or deep-tech backgrounds are preferred.
- Demonstrated success supporting new market entries and scaling teams across multiple APJ countries.
- Deep knowledge of APJ talent landscapes, including sourcing strategies, cultural considerations, and competitive nuances.
- Consultative, commercially minded, and comfortable operating with ambiguity and evolving business needs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence leaders across regions.
- Highly organized, data-driven, and capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
