Senior Recruiter, Talent Acquisition - R&D

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Recruiter in Talent Acquisition for R&D to join the North Chicago onsite team. This role centers on attracting top talent, managing open requisitions, and partnering with hiring managers across AbbVie’s research and development teams to support critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment efforts will target a designated team or function, with scope to cover other areas as needed.
• Build and maintain a robust candidate pool of high-caliber applicants for current and future openings.
• Perform candidate pre-screening, manage project workflows, collaborate with team members to craft sourcing strategies, and supply talent for open roles.
• Demonstrate the ability to proactively identify, source, and manage talent pools aligned to business priorities.
• Oversee open job requisitions, maintain SmartRecruiters, achieve recruiting metrics, and report key accomplishments. Compile and share knowledge bases, industry overviews, market trends, data, and analytics with team members and leadership.
• Prepare and approve offer packages, leveraging equity and market competitiveness data research.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and AbbVie policies for applicant tracking and reporting metrics.
• Establish strong business partnerships with hiring managers and leadership on all staffing activities and issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5+ years of recruitment experience in a competitive, fast-paced environment required; 7+ years preferred.
• Ability to project a strong business presence and instill confidence in clients while delivering results.
• Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience is required.
• Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry recruitment experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing requisitions within SmartRecruiters is preferred.

Additional Information

The compensation range shown is USD 84,500 - 162,000 per year and reflects base pay at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as geographic location and job grade and may be adjusted over time. This role is eligible for short-term incentive programs. A comprehensive benefits package is offered to eligible employees, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k).
