Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Vaco LLC is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to support full-cycle hiring from first outreach through onboarding. Based in Birmingham, AL and working onsite on a full-time basis, this role partners closely with hiring leaders to build effective recruiting strategies, strengthen talent pipelines, and improve the candidate experience. The compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 per year and includes comprehensive benefits.

Role responsibilities

• Own the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing through onboarding.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop recruiting strategies.
• Attract high-quality candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, job boards, and direct outreach.
• Conduct screenings, interviews, and candidate evaluations.
• Coordinate interviews and facilitate the offer process.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Track recruiting metrics and provide market insights to hiring leaders.
• Ensure recruiting activities comply with employment laws and company hiring policies.
• Support employer branding initiatives and help enhance the candidate experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of corporate recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
• Strong sourcing and networking skills.
• Experience recruiting for professional, corporate, or technical positions.
• Proficiency with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and recruiting technologies.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred experience

• Experience partnering with executive leadership and hiring managers.
• Background supporting high-growth or multi-location organizations.
• Strong understanding of recruiting analytics and workforce planning.

Compensation and benefits
