Job Description

Thomas Jefferson University and Hospitals is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner to lead recruitment for the Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) department. This onsite position in Philadelphia centers on sourcing, screening, and referring qualified candidates for Jefferson roles, while partnering with department leaders to shape hiring plans and guide offer decisions. The role emphasizes proactive recruiting, compliant interviewing, and delivering a strong candidate experience aligned with Jefferson’s standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary recruitment source for the entire IS&T department.
  • Recruit, screen, and refer applicants for new or existing Jefferson positions using detailed knowledge of job requirements.
  • Conduct lawful employment interviews.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Jefferson department heads, supervisors, and personnel in other organizations, agencies, and educational institutions.
  • Review hiring criteria and collaborate with hiring supervisors to establish appropriate grade levels through recruitment planning.
  • Gather information needed to recruit and utilize creative resources to identify qualified applicants.
  • Ensure supervisors receive applications and adhere to Jefferson Service Standards as appropriate.
  • Negotiate salary offers with supervisors and compensation personnel and extend offers, including start date and orientation attendance.
  • Verify references, education, and licenses or certifications of candidates.
  • Prepare recruitment advertisements for newspapers, websites, journals, and postings.
  • Manage individual advertising budgets and coordinate with external employment and advertising representatives.
  • Interact with coworkers, visitors, and other staff in alignment with the University’s core values.
  • Enter all relevant applicant and new-hire data into PeopleSoft and arrange new-hire processing schedules.
  • Prepare employment agreements and offer letters, and handle onboarding paperwork including scheduling physicals and orientation.
  • Conduct courtesy interviews for applicants.
  • Provide consulting support to Jefferson Management on the hiring process and counsel employees regarding career development.
  • Deliver training to Jefferson Management on hiring, selection, and onboarding policies and related materials.
  • Prepare activity reports and develop projects as requested by the Manager.
  • Demonstrate creative and proactive recruitment approaches, particularly for critical job categories.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 1 year of recruitment experience in a comparable organization performing similar duties.
  • Experience in utilizing support staff is beneficial.
  • Experience sourcing qualified applicants using databases, the web, and other creative resources.
  • Ability to maintain and control usage of classified ads.
  • Two years or more of experience working with a Workday Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Duties

  • Must have prior healthcare or IT recruitment experience.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite.
