Job Description
Full-time, on-site Talent Acquisition Specialist role in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, focused on full-cycle recruiting and HR exposure at Hawaii Foodservice Alliance.
Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end recruitment for multiple open roles across the organization
- Source candidates via job boards, referrals, direct outreach, networking, and community partnerships
- Review applications and identify qualified candidates for active openings
- Conduct phone screenings and initial candidate evaluations
- Coordinate interviews and partner with hiring managers throughout the hiring process
- Build relationships with candidates and create a positive candidate experience from first contact through hire
- Manage recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Support hiring events, recruiting campaigns, and employer branding initiatives
- Help identify creative ways to attract talent in a competitive hiring market
- Assist with onboarding and new hire transitions
- Support employee documentation and HR administrative processes
- Provide general HR support as needed while gaining broader HR experience
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Human Resources, or related experience
- 2 years of experience in Human resources & hands on hiring (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or related field preferred
- Passion for working with people and building relationships
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable having frequent conversations with candidates, managers, and employees
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience using ATS or HRIS systems is a plus
- Understanding of Hawai‘i’s local workforce and community is preferred
