Technical Recruiter, Applied Cyber & Security

United States $120k - $160k/yr Full time Posted 1d ago

Job Description

The Technical Recruiter for Applied Cyber and Security will lead full-cycle hiring for Doppel’s Applied Cyber and Security organizations, with the flexibility to support additional technical searches as priorities evolve. The role is AI-first, focused on building and improving AI-powered recruiting workflows while partnering closely with hiring managers and technical leaders to attract high-bar cybersecurity talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for Applied Cyber and Security roles, including sourcing, screening, interview management, offer strategy, and closing.
  • Recruit specialized cybersecurity profiles across areas such as security engineering, product security, applied cyber, threat intelligence, detection engineering, incident response, security research, and other emerging security functions.
  • Provide ad hoc recruiting support for other teams and roles based on company hiring priorities and recruiting capacity.
  • Partner directly with hiring managers and technical leaders to define role profiles, calibrate hiring bars, develop sourcing strategies, and drive searches from kickoff through close.
  • Build a strong understanding of Doppel’s product, security landscape, and technical challenges to assess and engage specialized candidates effectively.
  • Create targeted and creative outbound strategies to identify talent from security companies, research organizations, technology companies, government, consulting, and related talent pools.
  • Use AI across the recruiting lifecycle to improve sourcing, research, candidate evaluation, outreach, pipeline management, interview preparation, reporting, and closing.
  • Build and iterate on AI-powered recruiting workflows and automations, rather than relying solely on standard recruiting processes.
  • Identify repetitive or manual recruiting work and develop approaches to automate it end-to-end, increasing capacity for judgment, relationship-building, and closing.
  • Experiment with new AI tools, agents, and workflows, measure effectiveness, and scale what works across the recruiting organization.
  • Own pipeline health by proactively identifying gaps, bottlenecks, and risks before they affect hiring goals.
  • Use recruiting data to evaluate funnel performance, diagnose issues, and adjust strategy as needed.
  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience while progressing candidates through the process with urgency.
  • Contribute to scalable recruiting infrastructure, processes, and talent intelligence as Doppel grows.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in high-growth technology environments.
  • Experience recruiting technical talent with meaningful exposure to cybersecurity, security engineering, infrastructure, or similarly specialized technical domains.
  • Strong outbound sourcing capability and a track record of building pipelines for difficult-to-fill roles.
  • AI-native approach to recruiting, including actively using AI and seeking opportunities to replace repetitive manual work with improved automated workflows.
  • Builder mindset, with comfort experimenting with AI tools, agents, automations, and new workflows.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical and functional domains and flex across searches as business needs change.
  • Ability to learn technical domains deeply enough to distinguish between adjacent skill sets and communicate credibly with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Strong hiring manager partnership skills, translating ambiguous needs into clear role profiles and recruiting strategies.
  • Comfort operating independently with accountability for recruiting outcomes rather than executing a fixed process.
  • Strong judgment around candidate quality and the ability to calibrate against a high technical hiring bar.
  • Data-oriented recruiting approach, including use of funnel metrics and market information to inform decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities, tools, and hiring needs can change quickly.

What Success Looks Like

  • Serve as a trusted recruiting partner for Applied Cyber and Security while remaining a flexible recruiting resource for the broader organization.
  • Be relied upon not only to deliver candidates, but also to understand teams, challenge assumptions, provide market intelligence, and develop strategies to hire the right people.
  • Operate as an AI-native recruiter and continuously improve the system by identifying automation opportunities and building or refining AI-enabled workflows.
  • Increase automation over time across repeatable recruiting tasks such as sourcing, research, candidate evaluation, pipeline management, and reporting, while focusing human effort on judgment and relationships.
  • Consistently hire exceptional talent while building a recruiting system that becomes more intelligent, automated, and scalable as Doppel grows.

Compensation

  • Compensation Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
