Associate People Operations Generalist
Job Description
The Associate People Operations Generalist supports day-to-day People Operations with focus on HR systems, employee data, onboarding and lifecycle operations, driving improvements through workflows, reporting, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee preboarding and onboarding efforts to deliver a smooth new hire experience, including adding new hires to systems, coordinating stipends, and supporting readiness tasks across teams.
- Own onboarding workflows and ticketing, creating and tracking Jira tickets for new hires, onboarding tasks, and LOAs.
- Assist with new hire orientations and complete I-9 verifications in alignment with compliance requirements.
- Coordinate severance calculations in accordance with internal policy and work with Payroll on state payment requirements.
- Maintain accurate entry, maintenance, and auditing of employee records covering hires, promotions, internal mobility, terminations, and other lifecycle changes.
- Preserve personnel folders and ensure compliant documentation practices, including I-9s and work authorization/visa documentation where applicable.
- Ensure files are organized and retained in the designated storage system (drive and personnel folders).
- Serve as a key administrator for the People team tech stack (Paylocity, Lattice, Nectar, Asana) to keep systems accurate and user-friendly.
- Maintain HRIS configurations and support workflow improvements, troubleshooting, and end-user guidance for employees and managers.
- Manage LOA updates in Paylocity, including status and reason code changes, and submit corresponding LOA Jira tickets.
- Assist with Lattice program setup and administration, including Engagement Survey, OLA, Emerge, and 4box initiatives.
- Support benefits administration tasks such as approving elections, providing headcount numbers, and reconciling benefit invoices.
- Produce and maintain ad hoc employee reporting to support compliance, business needs, and workforce planning.
- Analyze onboarding feedback and employee experience data to identify trends and propose process improvements.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support compliance, business needs, and workforce planning.
- Coordinate focus group sessions based on engagement survey feedback, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations to the business.
- Manage the People inbox and triage requests as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with HRIS platforms and employee data in a People Ops or HR environment.
- Working knowledge of employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, data changes, documentation, transitions) and HRIS best practices.
- Basic familiarity with benefits plans and design.
- Excel proficiency with the ability to produce accurate reporting and reconciliations.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive data with discretion and confidentiality.
- Preferred experience with Asana, Lattice, and Paylocity.
- Preferred experience implementing process automation or workflow improvements.
- Preferred familiarity with compensation cycles and benchmarking.
