Job Description
The Part-Time Human Resource Coordinator supports day-to-day people operations with an emphasis on accurate timekeeping, recruitment coordination, onboarding, and maintaining HR records. This onsite role in Stafford, TX operates in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and is designed for an organized, detail-oriented professional.
Role Overview
In this part-time position, you will help manage core HR processes across time and attendance, applicant tracking, and new hire administration. You will also support supervisors with performance review coordination and help ensure HR documentation remains current and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Review and monitor employee time and attendance records for accuracy and policy compliance
- Communicate with supervisors and employees to resolve timekeeping and attendance discrepancies
- Track PTO, sick leave, and time-off requests
- Post job openings and manage the applicant tracking process
- Screen resumes and coordinate interview schedules
- Participate in interviews and support candidate selection activities
- Prepare and send offer letters and onboarding documents
- Coordinate or conduct new hire orientation sessions
- Ensure new hire paperwork and compliance documents are completed
- Provide new employees with the handbook, policies, and company expectations
- Coordinate and track employee evaluations and performance review schedules
- Support supervisors by providing evaluation tools and documentation
- Maintain employee performance files and records
- Maintain and update the employee handbook as needed
- Assist with policy communication and implementation
- Ensure HR practices comply with applicable labor laws and regulations
- Maintain employee records and digital personnel files
- Respond to basic HR-related employee questions
- Assist with internal communications and HR reporting as needed
Requirements
- Bilingual (preferred)
- 2+ years of HR, office administration, or related experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of basic HR principles, labor laws, and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and timekeeping systems (e.g., Paychex)
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus, but not required
