Job Description
The Director of Human Resources at Hometown Health Centers leads onsite HR operations in Schenectady, NY, partnering with executive leadership to advance workforce strategy, employee engagement, and organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Direct talent acquisition strategies and long-term workforce planning
- Oversee employee and labor relations, including unionized environments
- Administer compensation programs, benefits, and performance management processes
- Ensure HR policy development and regulatory compliance across the organization
- Champion employee engagement and culture initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; master's degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience
- At least 5 years in HR management or leadership roles
- Experience in labor relations and unionized environments
- Strong background in employee relations, recruiting, compensation, compliance, and training
- HRIS experience required; UKG preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
