Driver Recruiter
Job Description
Shoreline Transportation is hiring a full-time Driver Recruiter for its terminal in Montgomery, AL (on-site).
Responsibilities
- Communicate with potential new hires about the benefits of being a Shoreline Driver
- Field recruiting efforts and make cold calls to potential candidates
- Receive and input driver resumes and applications
- Pre-qualify new hires
- Support driver processing, including background checks, MVR, and DAC screens
- Assist with employment verifications
- Help schedule physicals and drug tests
- Coordinate orientation activities and help complete the hiring process
- Assist with the weekly recruiting report
- Attend career fairs and other driver recruiting opportunities
- Support EFS, safety issues, and other Shoreline and Tri-National, Inc. needs as requested
- Manage job boards and maintain social media accounts
- Perform clerical support, including sorting daily paperwork for billing and payroll purposes
- Complete other tasks requested by Shoreline and Tri-National, Inc. management
Requirements
- Knowledge of Transportation/Logistics
- Knowledge of JIT Freight
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a positive attitude
- Background in Human Resources/Recruiting (plus)
- CDL Class A preferred
- Experience: Recruiting (1 year preferred)
