Job Description
The Electrical Recruiter at Atlantic Electric, LLC sources, evaluates, and places electrical professionals across commercial, industrial, airfield lighting, and water and wastewater projects. This role requires hands-on electrical industry experience and the ability to build talent pipelines to support hiring efforts at our North Charleston, South Carolina site.
Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit qualified electricians, foremen, superintendents, project managers, and other electrical construction professionals, and actively engage them through the hiring process.
- Assess candidates' technical qualifications, electrical experience, certifications, and licensing to determine suitability.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to interpret workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Develop candidate pipelines through job boards, referrals, trade schools, industry associations, career fairs, and direct outreach.
- Screen applicants, conduct interviews, and manage the end-to-end hiring process from initial contact to onboarding.
- Maintain records in the applicant tracking system and keep recruiting documentation up to date.
- Represent Atlantic Electric at recruiting events and industry functions.
- Support additional HR and recruiting initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in the electrical industry is required.
- Experience in roles such as commercial or industrial electrician, electrical engineer, foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager, or similar electrical construction position is required.
- Solid understanding of commercial and industrial electrical construction methods, terminology, certifications, and typical career paths.
- Ability to accurately appraise technical qualifications and on-site experience.
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
