Fountain Comfort Group offers a competitive compensation package for a hands-on Trades Recruiting Specialist, onsite in Mission, KS. The role carries a salary range of USD 55,000 to 65,000 per year and a benefits suite including 401(k) matching, dental, health, and vision insurance. You will own end-to-end talent acquisition for our skilled trades teams (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related installer roles), with a focus on sourcing both active and passive candidates and building a robust pipeline to support our service culture.
What you’ll do
- Source and cultivate a pipeline of skilled trades professionals (HVAC techs, plumbers, electricians, installers, and apprentices) through direct sourcing, trade schools, military transition programs, and industry networks.
- Enhance job visibility by posting and managing advertisements on key platforms, including Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting from writing compelling descriptions and screening resumes to conducting initial interviews and coordinating offers.
- Maintain data integrity and compliance within our Applicant Tracking System, such as Paylocity or a similar system, by tracking and moving candidates through the process.
- Partner with service managers and regional directors to understand technical requirements and cultural fit.
- Represent Fountain Comfort Group at local job fairs, trade schools, and community events to strengthen our local employer brand.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, with strong preference for candidates who have recruited in residential or commercial service industries (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction).
- Proactive hunter mentality; you use LinkedIn, social media, databases, and grassroots networking to uncover hidden talent rather than waiting for applicants.
- Excellent interpersonal communication; able to discuss technical specifications with master technicians and culture with executives.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open roles across regions without letting candidates or hiring managers fall through the cracks.
