Job Description

This onsite HR Partner role supports employee experience, engagement, and HR operations within Amazon's Rural, Super Rural (RSR) PXT team, with travel as needed.

Overview

Location: Madison Heights, VA (onsite). Compensation: USD 51,300 - 89,800 per year. Education requirement: Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a constructive employee experience by delivering core programs, upholding workplace standards, and collaborating with PXT and Operations to foster a culture in which staff feel valued, heard, and supported.
  • Perform routine HR tasks with reliability and timeliness, adhere to service level agreements, and maintain precise records of HR processes and employee interactions.
  • Offer direct employee support by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring proper resolution or escalation of issues, while handling sensitive information confidentially.
  • Support feedback mechanisms such as roundtables, floor walks, and engagement activities; track issues and follow up, partnering with senior PXT members to drive improvements in the employee experience.
  • Coach front line leaders on behaviors that influence engagement and retention; reinforce expectations and advise on using available tools to enhance communication, recognition, and performance conversations.
  • Assist with site level engagement, communication, and culture-building initiatives; coordinate logistics, collect feedback, and monitor impact.
  • Develop skills to track and summarize PXT metrics such as attrition, attendance trends, hiring data, and employee sentiment; help prepare insights for site reviews or team discussions.
  • Encourage the use of self-service tools to resolve routine questions; identify recurring gaps and escalate opportunities to improve tool usability or adoption.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences across functions.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word for documents, basic Excel functions, and Outlook for calendars and email management.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

A Day in the Life

A typical day balances routine HR tasks with responsive employee support. You maintain steady presence on the operations floor, engage directly with hourly staff, and partner with managers to address concerns and implement engagement initiatives. Guided by senior team members, you execute core HR processes while ensuring high-quality service delivery. Using data tools and HR technologies, you track metrics and identify trends to inform action.

Rural, Super Rural (RSR) delivers packages to rural communities across North America. As part of the Last Mile organization, this unit enhances the customer experience in areas where larger fulfillment centers and delivery networks cannot reach with the same speed. As Amazon continues to grow in new locations across the US, the team seeks multi-site HR leaders, referred to as People, Experience and Technology, to support expansion and operations.
