Human Resources Director (HR Director)

Weakley County Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director (HR Director) to oversee day-to-day HR functions and partner with facility leadership and department managers in Dresden, Tennessee (onsite). This role is centered on building a supportive workplace by strengthening recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and retention and engagement.

What you’ll do

• Lead recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding efforts
• Coordinate new-hire orientation and help ensure a welcoming onboarding experience
• Maintain employee personnel records and HR documentation
• Support employee relations by assisting with workplace questions and concerns
• Partner with department leaders to address staffing and recruitment needs
• Help develop strategies to improve employee retention and engagement
• Support benefits and HR/payroll-related processes
• Ensure HR practices align with company policies and applicable employment requirements
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
• Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and leadership
• Help promote a positive, professional, team-oriented workplace culture

What you bring

• Previous Human Resources experience required
• HR leadership or management experience preferred
• Healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience strongly preferred
• Strong recruiting and employee-relations skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, approachable, and team-oriented working style
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters appropriately
