Human Resource Generalist
Job Description
Novolex invites applications for a Human Resources Generalist based onsite in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania. The role partners with operations to advance labor relations and HR initiatives within a manufacturing environment, overseeing recruiting, HRIS data accuracy, employee relations, and benefits coordination.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, onboard new hires, process personnel changes, perform data-entry tasks, administer E-Verify, and set up or update personnel files.
- Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements; route complex issues to appropriate management or HR leadership.
- Maintain and audit HR information to ensure 100 percent data integrity within HRIS systems.
- Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to internal stakeholders.
- Be the initial point of contact for employee complaints and grievances, assisting with benefits, payroll, attendance, and policy guidance.
- Conduct interviews related to employee relations matters such as harassment allegations or workplace complaints, and alert the HR Manager when further investigation is required.
- Collaborate with Labor Relations and the HR Manager to support surveys, data collection, and research related to HR policies, compensation programs, and labor negotiations.
- Assist in developing plans, policies, and documentation, including affirmative action plans, contract negotiations, and meetings with employee and labor organizations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- An associate or bachelor degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years of professional HR business partner experience within a manufacturing environment; labor relations experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization.
