Job Description

This on-site HR Generalist position supports the Director of HR by covering employee relations, training and development, HR projects, compliance, and operational HR in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and audit bi-weekly hourly payroll processing.
  • Handle bi-weekly salary payroll processing.
  • Partner with the Director of HR and the operations team to design and implement training and development programs and retention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR to mentor HR staff, providing guidance and knowledge sharing to support team growth.
  • Work with operations to address employee relations matters, including investigations; assist with counseling and escalate complex issues to the Director of HR as needed.
  • Lead HR related projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the Director of HR to review, update, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and achievement of departmental goals in partnership with the Director of HR.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Paycor and other HRIS systems.
  • Support initiatives that foster a positive employee engagement and culture.
  • Provide backup support for employee benefits enrollment.
  • Support a culture of openness and integrity through fair associate relations practices and clear communication.
  • Assist in the completion of required reports such as ACA, FAS, and EEOC.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with payroll processing, with Paycor HRIS strongly preferred.
  • Experience handling complex employee relations matters.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
