Human Resource Manager
Job Description
Onsite HR Manager role based in Berkeley Springs, WV, overseeing HR functions for the Hancock, Maryland operation.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR expertise to all levels of management and employees.
- Partner with employees and managers to diagnose root causes of issues and resolve them through a structured, analytical approach, including investigations.
- Advise on actions to minimize potential employment liability.
- Collaborate with the management team to assess people needs and issues, then develop and implement an appropriate action plan.
- Oversee recruitment and selection to meet staffing needs for both exempt and non-exempt roles.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding programs, including:
- Internal and external postings
- Coordinate with supervisors on headcount needs
- Review applications and schedule interviews or plant tours
- Design and implement onboarding and orientation for all new hires
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and company policies.
- Design and deliver required training for employees at all levels on processes, policies, and compliance.
- Evaluate employee programs and advise on improvements to employee relations policies to maintain regulatory alignment.
- Administer HR programs and policies in compliance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, and related laws.
- Identify opportunities and implement changes to boost overall location performance.
- Review time and payroll data, reconciling with the ADP payroll system; verify attendance and hours and post adjustments in ADP.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.

- 3 to 5 years of Human Resources experience including employee relations, compliance, and payroll administration
- Microsoft Office proficiency: 3 years (Required)
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
