Human Resource Specialist
Job Description
The Human Resource Specialist role in San Diego, CA, onsite, supports client organizations by aligning HR resources and Insperity HR solutions to improve performance and regulatory compliance. Acting as a trusted HR partner to client management, the role guides employee relations, performance improvement, and workforce strategy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of client engagements, actively contributing to client success and growth while sustaining high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Advise client leadership and key decision makers, applying comprehensive knowledge of employee relations, regulatory interpretation and compliance, benefits, wage and hour, and performance management and development.
- Collaborate with client management to align HR business strategy and goals across the organization.
- Consult with client management on HR related issues, propose new HR strategies, and provide guidance when appropriate.
- Evaluate HR related needs and partner with client leadership to strategize effective responses.
- Analyze trends with internal partners to develop solutions, programs, and policies that ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Cultivate relationships with internal and client partners to deliver value added services and solutions to client management and decision makers.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters through thorough, objective investigations.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of legal requirements governing daily employee management to minimize risk and ensure compliance; collaborate with internal support teams including DEI, FLSA, background screening, benefits, and Centers of Excellence.
- Provide performance management guidance to client management, including conflict resolution, coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Work with client leadership to improve work relationships, boost morale, and strengthen teamwork to support retention.
- Deliver HR policy guidance, interpretation, and best practice recommendations.
- Offer input on organizational structure and assist with workforce and succession planning in collaboration with client leadership.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating training needs for client management to ensure objectives are met.
- Proactively engage with client leadership to understand evolving organizational strategy and goals.
- Ensure all client interactions are properly documented in the appropriate client management systems and databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Two to five years of related Human Resources experience.
- PHR, SPHR and/or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.

Pay Transparency
Salary for this role in the Los Angeles area is USD 70,304 to 75,049 per year.
