Human Resources/Compliance Coordinator
Job Description
This onsite role in Boston, MA offers USD 65,000 per year and a hands-on opportunity to support HR operations and compliance across multiple locations. You will handle onboarding, benefits administration, payroll-related documentation, audits, policy updates, and vendor coordination, contributing to smooth processes and regulatory alignment.
Responsibilities
- Provide responsive HR support by answering employee questions and handling inquiries.
- Support recruitment and interview activities, helping manage the candidate experience.
- Coordinate job postings, review resumes, and track candidate status in the HRIS.
- Communicate with candidates during and after the recruiting process to keep them informed.
- Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the HR director.
- Oversee onboarding tasks: send the new hire packet, administer the onboarding checklist, and ensure timely completion of tasks and paperwork.
- Complete Form I-9, verify documentation, and maintain I-9 files.
- Prepare and file documents for new employees.
- Administer benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Process payroll and insurance documents to ensure accurate records and appropriate deductions.
- Assist with payroll, benefits, or other HR program audits and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with terminations as needed.
- Support the preparation of the performance review process.
- Create and update vendor contacts for HR processes.
- Maintain knowledge of current HR legal requirements and regulatory practices; help ensure policy compliance.
- Assist with policy updates to maintain legal compliance.
- Perform clerical tasks in the HR department, including photocopying, mailing, scanning, and emailing documents.
- Prepare or assist with correspondence as requested.
- Contribute to other related duties as assigned.
- Support information security by protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Markley Group information assets per the information security program.
- Assist with compliance programs, memos, and meetings; review new products and processes for compliance.
- Support document control frameworks and coordinate internal compliance data with auditors and departments.
- Ensure audit information is complete and timely for management and risk committees.
- Develop and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in line with best practices.
- Identify and assess areas of significant business risk and conduct ad hoc investigations when needed.
