Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
Join Kindeva Drug Delivery Careers as an on-site Human Resources Coordinator at a 400+ employee manufacturing site located in Northridge, CA, within the Los Angeles area. This role offers a compensation range of USD 30 - 35 per hour and focuses on day-to-day HR administration, supporting the employee lifecycle, and ensuring policy compliance under California law, while serving as the primary contact for employees and managers.
Responsibilities
- Assist with core HR workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, and changes to job roles.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, with Dayforce used as a primary tool.
- Process personnel transactions and support documentation management.
- Respond to routine employee inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Serve as the first point of contact for policies, benefits, and HR programs.
- Manage locker assignments, bulletin boards, and HR communication boards.
- Update content on the site’s TV monitors and other communication displays.
- Participate in the One Kind Community and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with site engagement efforts and internal communications.
- Provide administrative HR support to managers and follow up on outstanding items.
- Coordinate recruiting activities with the Talent Acquisition Team, including interview scheduling and candidate communications.
- Facilitate onboarding activities such as new hire orientation, paperwork, and logistics.
- Ensure timely completion of compliance documents (I-9s, background checks, etc.).
- Maintain electronic employee files in compliance with California labor laws and company standards.
- Process and respond to Employment Development Department notices.
- Maintain the location’s repository of job descriptions.
- Support audits and compliance reviews, both internal and external.
- Assist in tracking leaves of absence, accommodations, and required reporting.
- Provide administrative support for payroll, timekeeping, and benefits processes.
- Assist employees with benefit inquiries and enrollment support.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of HR-related transactions.
- Maintain and update Dayforce schedules for assigned employees.
- Support payroll processes and ensure timely submission of updates.
- Assist Senior HR Business Partner and HR Director with documentation related to disciplinary actions, investigations, and performance management.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times.
- Ensure timely submittal of termination notifications to all required departments and coordinate offboarding activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of HR administrative or coordinator experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Experience supporting mid-to-large employee populations (200+ employees preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and HR practices.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Dayforce, Workday, ADP) and Microsoft Office.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
