Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
The HR Coordinator role in New York City offers a hybrid work arrangement and supports recruiting and HR operations, partnering with hiring managers to source candidates, oversee onboarding, and maintain HR records.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-employment screening including background checks, employment verifications, and drug test assessments.
- Develop and sustain thorough, compliant, and confidential personnel files.
- Accurately enter new hire information into the HRIS and maintain employee records on an ongoing basis.
- Generate routine and ad hoc HR reports and dashboards.
- Act as a resource for staff, addressing inquiries about HR policies and procedures.
- Keep up to date with federal, state, and local employment laws and apply them to daily operations.
- Protect sensitive information and uphold strict confidentiality standards.
- Assist with additional duties as needed to support talent acquisition and HR goals.
Requirements
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- An Associate's degree in human resources or a related field
- A minimum of three years of experience is preferred
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record meeting company vehicle and insurance eligibility standards
- Proficiency with HR technology, including Applicant Tracking Systems (for example IBM Kenexa BrassRing) and HRIS platforms
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building cross-functional relationships and engaging external candidates
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment
- High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality in data handling
- Adaptability and proactive problem-solving to respond to changing business needs and HR or recruitment challenges

Your Qualifications
