The Human Resources Coordinator supports recruiting, onboarding, and HR operations, including records management, benefits communications, and performance processes. You will serve as a liaison between field and state offices and assist with data tracking and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding of employees, including orientation and training; ensure all new hire paperwork is complete, including I9 documentation and certifications.
- Review safety management implementation and aid in delivering best practice across the organization.
- Maintain and review employee records to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards; provide copies of records to employees when requested.
- Serve as the HR liaison and communication channel between field and state offices.
- Set up and maintain confidential, sensitive files and records, ensuring efficient retrieval and that all necessary information is included in the employee personnel record.
- Support recruitment by posting job ads on the company site, external sites, newspapers, and college career services to attract qualified applicants; manage background check results and perform registry and license verification checks.
- Assist with paperwork related to job and salary changes, retention bonuses, and leaves of absence.
- Assist with open enrollment communications and respond to general pay and benefits questions, referring inquiries to the Benefits Information Center as appropriate.
- Refer employee relations issues to the HR Business Partner and keep the supervisor informed as appropriate.
- Assist with the performance review process as needed and comply with HR policies, directing questions to the immediate supervisor.
- Support management in developing new databases for tracking events and programs, and produce reports as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of related experience.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to manage relationships across teams.
- Ability to discreetly handle confidential information and data.
