Job Description

This onsite Human Resources Coordinator role at VIP Hospitality supports airport-based operations by serving as a day-to-day HR point of contact for employees and managers. The position focuses on employee relations, leave and accommodation administration, policy guidance, compliance support, and workforce culture building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a business-first HR Coordinator and point of contact for employee and manager questions related to policies, practices, and workplace concerns.
  • Provide guidance on employee accommodations, leave administration, and FMLA processes while handling matters with appropriate confidentiality.
  • Support interpretation and application of federal, state, and local employment laws, with emphasis on Washington labor laws and regulations.
  • Partner with leadership to promote a positive workplace culture grounded in professionalism, accountability, and employee support.
  • Support onboarding, employee communications, and execution of HR processes for airport-based operations.
  • Respond to routine and complex employee questions in a timely, service-oriented manner.
  • Assist with policy adherence, documentation, and HR best practices while balancing employee experience with business needs.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership and internal stakeholders to address people-related issues in a practical and constructive way.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and retention efforts by maintaining a visible, positive, and solutions-driven HR presence.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support compliance processes, audits, and reporting as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Approximately 2 to 3 years of HR experience in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Administrator, or similar employee-facing role.
  • Experience supporting employee accommodations, FMLA, and related employee relations matters.
  • Working knowledge of Washington employment laws, regulations, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Professional, personable, and team-oriented approach with the ability to build trust across the organization.
  • Strong communication skills to answer employee and manager questions clearly, confidently, and with sound judgment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment with both structure and flexibility.
  • Capability to balance policy consistency with a practical, people-focused mindset.

Compensation and Work Location

  • Starting salary range: $83,000 to $88,000 per year.
  • Location: SeaTac, WA (onsite).
  • Onsite schedule: expected to be approximately 3 to 5 days per week based on business needs and operational requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior Union experience preferred.
  • Prior recruiting experience is a plus and will be considered.
  • Experience in airport, hospitality, transportation, or other high-touch operational environments is a plus.
  • Candidates who live reasonably close to SEA International Airport are strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Employment authorization documentation is required to work in the United States.
  • Eligibility to obtain airport and/or government-related credentials is required, including any clearance, badge, or access requirements established by the work site.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to pass a 100% clear background check for badging and site access. A DUI may be considered acceptable depending on review; other disqualifying issues may prevent clearance.
  • Post-offer background checks, badging steps, and any required screenings must be completed successfully before starting work.
