Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Rosenberger North America is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to operate onsite at the Akron, PA facility. This role serves as the bridge between corporate HR initiatives and plant operations, delivering guidance on policies, programs, benefits, and compliance while supporting day-to-day HR activities in a manufacturing environment. The position offers an annual salary of USD 65,000 and requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, with at least two years of HR experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as the HR business partner and subject matter expert on local policies, procedures, benefits, and employee programs for the site.
- Maintain HRIS records and generate reports from the database as needed.
- Coordinate the upkeep of all manual departmental records.
- Assist in coordinating non-exempt recruiting, including advertising, scheduling and conducting interviews, evaluations, reference checks, hiring, scheduling, and confirming drug test results.
- Lead new employee orientation sessions.
- Assist with benefit orientation, enrollment, and change reporting.
- Process all performance appraisals and status changes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; stay current on labor market trends and relevant regulations.
- Assist in safety and health administration, including Safety Committee participation, accident investigations, report preparation and submission, OSHA 300 logs, workers’ comp benefits verification, incident charts, and coordination of light-duty work.
- Support HR policy and program development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Conduct research and provide data to the Head of Human Resources for regular reports and special projects.
- Coordinate the exit interview process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of related Human Resources experience using a HRIS.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment.
